Piracy Prevention Seminar of the German Federal Police
Within the framework of maritime security / piracy prevention, the eighth workshop for circumnavigators was planned for 14-15 March 2020 under the auspices of the Piracy Prevention Centre (PPZ) at the German Federal Maritime Police Directorate.
In connection with the current corona virus (COVID-19) development, the planned workshop for March has been postponed to the weekend 26 / 27 September 2020 for reasons of welfare. We will be there and are already looking forward to the seminar. So another to-do is off our list. 🙂
In addition, the ninth Piracy Prevention Workshop for circumnavigators and blue water sailors is regularly scheduled for next year, 13 and 14 March 2021.
Now some more information about the seminar:
The first day of the workshop starts on Saturday at 13:00 and ends at about 17:30.
On the second day it starts at 08:00 am and ends around noon.
The aim is to prepare prevention measures for a circumnavigation / to sensitize circumnavigators to possible dangers during a circumnavigation as well as to the psychological stress involved.
The workshop is free of charge. The only thing you have to do is to arrange your own accommodation in Neustadt in Holstein, Germany.
